Rosie Sturgis
Rosie Sturgis was born and educated at the Cape. She attended art schools from 1968 - 86 in Cape Town and in London and gained practical experience by working at the Tommasi Bronze Foundry in Pietrasanta, Italy in 1984. She has exhibited in England and South Africa and had work in galleries in London, Geneva, Johannesburg and Cape Town. A keen exponent of the Wildlife cause she has participated in prestigious events such as Sotheby's Rhino Rescue auctions and World Wildlife Fund at Everard Read in 1993 and 1995. Rosie has recently held 2 successful exhibitions at Klein Constantia Winery (1997 and 2001). In 2001 she had her Bateleur Eagle selected as the centrepiece of the recently opened southern African Wildlife College's Eagle Forum.
 
In addition to Wildlife, Rosie has undertaken several commissions for portrait busts such as Emma Sergeant, the painter and the Hon. William Douglas-Home, the playwright.
