Bruce McClunan
Bruce McClunan spent a good portion of his childhood in the African bush and this led to a lifetime fascination with wildlife.
Bruce began modelling his favourite animals in clay and later in wood and stone before he discovered the versatility of bronze to express his passion for wildlife.
Bruce continues to spend time observing the animals he portrays in meticulous detail, and says of his work: "For me, each sculptrue I create is the fulfillment of a vision, a special moment, captured in time."
In order to meet his exacting standards, Bruce casts, finishes and patinates his own bronzes at his Cape studio.
Bruce is a keen hang-glider pilot and skin diver. His sculptures are in private and corporate collections in South Africa, North America, Australia and the Middle East.
